  • 4 cups Concord grapes, stemmed and washed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Glaze

  • 1/4 cup Concord grape jelly

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a food processor, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Pulse to mix.  
  • Add the cold butter pieces and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add the ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough just comes together.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, knead it a few times, then shape it into a disk.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to fit your tart pan. Press the dough into the pan, trimming any excess.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the grapes, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Toss until the grapes are evenly coated. b. Spoon the grape mixture into the prepared crust, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the grapes are bubbling.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the grape jelly over low heat until it becomes liquid.
  • Once the tart is out of the oven, brush the grape jelly glaze over the warm grapes to give it a shiny finish.
  • Allow the tart to cool completely before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
